The Pickering Hockey Association has been in existence for over 30 years and now provides the opportunity for more than 1700 players to play organized hockey. Since its inception the PHA has been governed by its Constitution and Playing Rules. In addition to these documents the Board of Directors regulates the yearly operation of the league and provides direction and guidance to the many volunteers that make each season a reality.
The PHA consists of 3 segments; Hockey School, House League, and Rep Hockey that provides organized hockey to the residents of the City of Pickering and its northern communities of Altona, Balsam, Barclay Estates, Brougham, Cherrywood, Claremont, Green River, Greenwood, Kinsale, Saxton Glen, Spring Creek and Whitevale. The Association enters over 30 team in competitive play, along with 10 Hockey School teams and more than 70 House League teams.
Mission:
- To provide hockey for all persons, regardless of race, creed, ability or financial circumstances who abide by the rules and regulations of the Association.
- To provide for the affiliation of other hockey organizations in the City of Pickering.
