PHA Playing Rules
Our Association is governed by the PHA Constitution and PHA Playing Rules. These documents form the foundation of our Association and all members should take the opportunity to review them on a yearly basis.
The PHA Constitution outlines our guidelines for running the entire Association. It provides guidance and direction for league officials in the management of the PHA.
The PHA Playing Rules is our established guidelines for league play. It identifies our unique rule changes that supercedes any rules established by the OMHA and Hockey Canada. If you do not see a specific ruling within our document then the ruling from the OMHA's Manual of Operation or Hockey Canada's rules are in effect.
Although the vast majority of our Constitution and Playing Rules has been established and running for many years, we do have the flexibility and process to modify the documents when and if the need arises. It is at our Midterm Meeting and Annual General Meeting (AGM) whereby members are afforded the opportunity to present and propose changes to these documents. Changes are made by a majority vote from the members in attendance at the AGM.
It is important to remember that without our Members we would not have an Association. You are encouraged to take an active role in your Association by becoming familiar with the Constitution and Playing Rules. If you have ideas that you feel will benefit the PHA then step up and have your say at our General Meetings.
