registration info
2010 - 2011

Note: Not all of the info below is within the Hockey Canada Registration system. To ensure a smooth and error free registration process please review all the information on this page prior to entering the ON-LINE REGISTRATION Button.

General Info:
- The PHA now offers an On-Line Payment Option through PayPal. This will allow you to make payments using a Credit Card or from your banking institution. You may also make payments by cheque or money order.

- When registering please check off 'payment by Cheque' regardless of actual method used. On-Line Credit Card payments are NOT throught the Hockey Canada registration database. Once you have completed the registration process you can return to our website to access PayPal.

- It is important to make sure that your SPAM filter will not block incoming e-mail or turn it off before submitting your registration, otherwise, you will not be able to receive your registration confirmation and invoice copy. Do not forget to retain a copy of your invoice for tax purposes.

House League Notice:
Due to the increasing number of player requests it is becoming impossible to honour all requests while drafting players and maintaining balance amongst the House League teams. As we focus on the new season it is our objective to improve on team balancing and therefore no request will be guaranteed.

Registration Process:

FIRST TIME USER/MEMBER >
Use the New Member Registration button below to enter registration information. Once this process is completed you will receive a confirmation email providing additional payment options.

RETURNING MEMBERS >
Use the Returning Player Registration button below to enter your USER ID and PASSWORD on the Hockey Canada Registration login page and proceed as you did last year.
- If you forgot your password simply enter the email used to register your child last season and the system will send back your password.

We believe the system is quite intuitive but some important things to note are:

1) Boxes with a small red asterisk is information that must be completed or you will not be able to move off that screen.

2) The registration process is driven from the YEAR OF BIRTH (YOB) of your child. The YOB entered will display options for the Division of the player. As an example, a player born in 2002 will be listed in the Novice Division. Upon entering this Division you will then be presented with the options to register for any leagues (Hockey School, House League or Rep) available to this age group.

3) Please review these options carefully to ensure you register within the correct league and age as there will be several options available for you.

4) REP players will only need to register within the appropriate age group (i.e. Minor Atom, Peewee, etc). The PHA will then place each player into the appropriate level (AA, A, AE) once tryouts are completed.

5) You will be asked the preferred position for the player plus a number of other questions.

6) Following the completion of the registration of your child you will receive an email detailing the transaction.

7) Your on line access will also enable you to download and print your 2010 Tax Receipt, therefore it is important to keep your contact information up to date.

Cost:
For many years the PHA has been able to keep our registration costs lower than most, if not all centers in the GTA. Over the past 2 years, we have seen increases in prices for equipment, fees for all services, and insurance costs. This along with the HST being added to all services, including ice rental, means that we will have to increase our rates. We have worked hard to ensure that they are comparable to other centers in our area such as Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa and Clarington.

The City of Pickering has been great partners of the PHA and have allowed us to take advantage of preferred rates for ice usage. This will continue in the future and should allow us to keep our costs at a rate consistent with the other centers.

PHA Raffle 2010/2011:
We will be bringing back a method for all PHA members to capture back some of their hockey registration costs. We will be issuing to every member $150 in draw tickets.  30 tickets @ $5 per ticket. These tickets will be issued in September to all Paid Members. When you sell them, you keep the proceeds and turn in the ticket stubs.  A draw will be held in December for Vacation Dollars with RedTag.ca. Details on the draw will follow when you return for hockey in September.
